Why take a class with Bluegrass Defensive Concepts?
BGDC was started to provide quality training to citizens just like you of all experience levels and focuses on getting you set on the right path from the beginning to being able to operate your firearms safely and effectively in any application, be it target shooting or self-defense. We are a husband-and-wife team who welcomes everyone and treats every student's safety, success and growth as a shooter as our top priority. You do NOT have to be Jason Bourne to learn how to shoot! We keep our classes limited to 15 students maximum as we are not about quantity but focused on guiding you in developing the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude. This class size allows us to focus on every student’s individual needs and help them build their skills as a firearms shooter.
We offer one-on-one coaching, in home and other options to fit your needs!
Why should I get a KY CCDW license/permit?
While Kentucky has gone to permitless or “constitutional” carry of concealed deadly weapons, attending a concealed carry deadly weapons permit/license course taught by our Kentucky State Police (KSP) approved and NRA certified instructors provides numerous advantage:
· Learn the principles of firearms marksmanship, operating types, care and maintenance, ammo selection, and personal safety
· A Kentucky concealed carry permit/license has reciprocity currently with 38 states, many of which are not permitless or “constitutional” carry, allowing you to continue to be prepared to defend yourself and loved ones even while on business or vacation travel
· Holding and maintaining a Kentucky concealed carry deadly weapons permit/license simplifies the purchase of a firearm saving time on the background check
· In the unfortunate situation you find yourself in court after defending yourself or your loved ones, would you rather be able to say you took a Kentucky approved class that included a written test and skills evaluation from approved/certified instructor, or that you have no formal training
· While in Kentucky your permit covers the concealed carry of more than just firearms and includes all deadly weapons listed in the Kentucky revised statues
